hey guys i wanna install age of empire 1
i curently have the cd and normaly need it to play the game

what id like to know is if there a way to install the game with the cd but to dont have to put the cd in to play
any one know how to do this?

if this is the wrong forum im sry and ill repost where its appropriated

The only way to do that is to download it illegally, or to download something to help it run with no cd, again illegal.

However, I read something about a patch for it that may make it work. You can try googling it :)

i was wondering if i could do this legally since i have cd but anyway ill try google it ... if anyone have any other solution ty ;)

djray, you need daemon tools. what you're talking about is perfectly normal. you basically replace your age of empires file with a cracked version that you can get from torrents. It tricks your computer into thinking there is a cd in there, even if there isn't. Developing the cracked version of the game is not something a beginner can do easily..plus it goes against the game's terms and conditions, which is "illegal"...JSP would look down on it...but then again JSP considers any kind of manipulating of software/hardware to be illegal...so..whatevs.

You can use daemon tools to copy files from cd to virtual cd then use virtual cd in virtual drive.
