Guys i need help.
Anyone here good with law suits and stuff? (I live in Melbourne, Australia)

Last night i slipped in a bathroom at a bar and my elbow smashed a bathroom sink and mirror. I am under 18 (i was legal to be there), so I was not served alcohol. The floor was covered in water and it was some sort of slippery tiles, I slipped.

But now they are going to get a quote and make me pay for the repairs, yet i have bruised knees and a sore elbow. What do i do?

I'm 100% sure they knew of the slippery floor, yet did not clean it. They also did not have a "Slippery when wet" floor sign anywhere in the bathroom.

Can anyone help me? I'll send 40fg to the best piece of advice. (Taking this public soon) Ask me any questions and i'll try to answer to my best.

It pretty much occurred like this, yet i instead fell onto and broke a mirror and snapped a sink --> http://en.allexperts.com/q/Personal-Injury-Law-928/2008/7/Slipping-wet-floor.htm

please lmk where else i can post for better help.

Yet you have proofs that you slept with the bruises you got, though in my opinion you have to go to your local lawyer and tell him about this just try and explain to him everything and I am sure he will tell what is going to happen.

Just google Lawyer offices in australia and where you live. give them a call and explain to them so they can give you a quick answer.

best thing to do is talk to lawyer sometimes u can get a free quote. But if the floor was slippery then it was their fault. do u have evidence like pics or frds that was there. Im assuming if u go to court it be small claim court so dress well, brg as much evidence like frds that was there that night or ppl u noe that goes to the bar alot and ask them to be ur witness stating that the floor is not always kept dry.

It was most of our first times. but there was about 100 people there that would vouch what happened.
I have photos of the broken mirror and sink, and of the floor. but you can't really see if it was slippery or not because it's just a photo.

What are exactly "frds"?

u should take photographs of your evidence, even go to your doctor + get a check up if its bothering you that bad.
im not sure if in australia they have an accident book records system.. but if your accident was registered they cant deny it happened.

best thing to do is speak to your local solicitor/lawyer just for advice. remember your the victim here not the bar company. dont let them try and make it so they are

frd = friends

how much did they tell u to pay if u dont mind me asking? im assuming it be small time court. so bring along 1 or 2 friend and your pictures, it is important the pic was right after the accident and also see if u can ask someone that goes there alot to also vouch for u and say that the floor is wet at times. this will be hard cuz not alot of ppl will want to go in court against the bar they go to alot. if you do all this im pretty sure u win the case and then u can counter sue and tell them to pay for ur med expense if it was serious enough. also if u did go to doc best to tell the doc to write something on paper about ur injuries.
