I recently was forced to clean install my PC, and thus required to re-install Diablo 2. Upon re-installing I found I could not connect to ANY realm on Battle.net. I've never had this problem be so persistent, any help?

Notes:

-It is at its current patch
-I'm using the same CD-key
-There is no third-party software that may interfere on my PC
-It is not the firewall
-It is not my modem
-I am running as admin
-The guide at http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=39461179&f=21 did not fix it.

Only am paying for your info if it leads to fixing the issue. PLEASE HELP!

What error are you getting when trying to sign in?

right click on diablo, run as administrator.

Sorry, thought I wrote that there. It is "Unable to connect" when attempting to join any a Battle.net realm.

Followed it and did not work.

Best bet is to wait it out. Remember, every time you try to access before the ban is up it prolongs it.

If that is the error you are getting, and the guide isn't working you will need to wait it out.

It can take 5 minutes to sometimes even 2 weeks.



This is not true, you can try to log in as many times as you want, the time does not prolong

Unable to Connect error messages always take only 5 minutes to fix, thats only if you joined games too quickly.

However if you truly cannot connect even after 5 minutes of waiting then it is something with your router, modem, internet settings.

I tried playing D2 once at my school and I got Unable to COnnect simply cause their internet wouldn't allow it somehow.
