have you tried updating to dx 10

any chance you can post a ss of exactly where it freezes

i dont believe dx 10 is backwards compatible with windows xp

the freeze happens right when it says nivida

first have you had an nvidia card in the past?

have you updated your ati drivers recently?

my ati drivers are installed correctly.

edit and no i havent had any other video cards

Tower or laptop?

If tower buy a new vid card and try it, if that doesn't work you got a spare vid card at the least.

If laptop pop it open and check to see if the heat sync is fucked / gfx card isn't black / dark

i have a tower and my gfx card is fine, i recently cleaned it and it idles and preforms at normal temps

edit from looking at my dmp file it seems the game is hanging.

not sure if the game is causing my cpu to bottle neck for some reason.

if any one has a work around lmk that doesnt involve me buying new parts.
