yeah you should give it a go, its cheap anyway. and if people are still playing since 2000 then im sure someone new would enjoy it

game is like 10+ years old, gfx are shitty now compared to how they used to be when it first came out
and it's full of bots that make you want to commit suicide.

but if those 3 factors don't stop you, go ahead and buy it.

Diablo 2 is pretty much broken, the majority is using third party programmes. If you want to play it anyway, I would recommend to start with the next ladder season (somewhere in September).

Lord of Destruction was released in 2001. Nevertheless there is still much activity, as you can see in the trade forums.
By now, you can buy the game for little money. I personally say: Buy it, it's still worth it. Try some fancy characters if you get bored - there will always be some challenge.

It is a very nice game in my own opinion and I've had lots of fun with it.
I'm definitely waiting for Diablo III now aswell
