Yeah. A battle.net representative told me that attempting to login does not extend the wait time at all. So you can try and login how ever many times you want and it doesn't add to the restriction length.

this it can vary , The more you try too log into diablo with the realm it may extend it , I get realms OFTEN , I just unplug my moddem for like 30 minutes and it fixes my issues



How is it wrong when i realm and deal with it 2-3 times daily. The more you try too log into a realmed account can extend it. pm'd explaining.

That's just wrong. Legacy843 already explained it.
According to a Blizzard poster, temporary restrictions last anywhere from two minutes to 72 hours, extended restrictions last between three days and two weeks.

Attempting to login does not extend any wait time. I've confirmed this with Blizzard. And unplugging/resetting your modem/using the ip change guide will only work if you have a dynamic ip; otherwise you have to wait it out
