Use window mode for this. Put static on right click, hold down the right mouse button and drag it off the window.

I just did it and it works.

only keeps working as long as focus is on window

Theres isnt a way to do it , Once you click off the window it releases the hold via d2 and focus on the new screen , I use the same technique for my smiter.

I dont think he is going too actually afk as he said once he clicks off the static stops i think he just wants too afk from game screen , And focus on a different tab.
Regardless , That part should of been specified. , But without clicking off jct you are correct.

True but if you're going to be afk like he said then the way I described would work fine.
