Alright, so as you can see here, the computer has 2 hard drives - the 50 gb one is the main one.

Since it's quite full and some programs just won't let me choose another install direction, is there any way to force the computer that (E:) is the main hard drive? So that programs where you cannot choose an install direction automatically go there?

Windows Vista

50 fg reward for whoever knows this.

Thanks in advance!

I don't think you can boot Vista from your slaved HD, though I may be incorrect. If this is the case, then your only option is to either delete some things off of C:, or get a larger HD. I've never heard of someone not being able to choose the installation directory, though. What are you trying to install?

/e And I say the first part because if you CAN boot Vista off the slaved HD, you can simply switch the E drive to your master HD, and the C: drive to slave.

I'm trying to install the new Hellgate Global client, I could choose the directory when downloading the download client and also when actually downloading the game, but when I start the install setup I can just choose language, country and then "install game". There's no choose directory. And when I press install, I get the message "Not enough HD space."

Well I'd say the best thing would be to move all things from your small drive to big one. And I know for a fact that such action is possible since I did it once.
You have to look at your big drive webpage for somekind of free backup program (I had segate hdd) and such program allow you to transfer all including operating system to new harddrive.
Hoever you will need to swap master slave thing after you are done.

I think You should make bigger hdd data backup and set big hdd as main hdd and reinstall system on it (if You have that possibility ofc )
If You have so full Your main hdd soon system will slow down - i think its the best option as i said before.

Most I've ever had at one time is 12k, but I've had D2 characters worth around 30k before.

This, unfortunately. I also have to do this tomorrow :/ Finally got around to buying a new computer, but all of my hard drives are IDE, and this new board only supports SATA >.<
