Can I listen to audio through earbuds but still talk with the headset?

You should be able to. Your headphones will play whatever sound your computer is playing, including voices. Your mic will still transmit your voice.

Right, it will play both music and voices at the same time. You will still be able to speak on it.

Yes, I use my iPhone headphones that have a mic for vent and talking if that is what you mean. It also does game sounds too.

Yeah, what happened though is my headset snapped on one side so I can't wear it and want to use it only as a microphone and earbuds for audio.

Ah, I see... Hmmm... Seeing as how your Microphone and your Earbuds are not one piece, I don't see how you could get it to work like a headset would. You would need to have two earphone plugs for your computer, and I don't think a computer has two plugs... I could be wrong though.

Your headset has two plugs doesn't it? Uusually one is for mic and other is for headphones. If you only want to use the mic, then only plug the pink plug in. Then us your other green output from you earbuds for audio output.
