Hi, i just got a BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300.
I'm trying to do the blackberry App World setup and i'm stuck at Step 2 "Connect your smartphone". I'm selecting my phone PIN and when i click Connect it sais "Device Radio off - BlackBerry App World requires that your device radio is turned on to continue.".

How do i turn on that thing?

It is referring to your connection to cell towers. Blackberries have a bad habit if turning off the radio when batteries gets low. You must charge it to a certain percent before you can have the radio back on. If your phone is fully charged I would check in the settings menue for an option thaat may turn it on and I would make sure I have service. Strong signal too.

IN the upper right corner of the touch screen, if it shows a Tx symbol there your radio is off. Touch there then check the box mobile network to turn the radio on.

I have nothing in the upper right corner. It's not a touch phone by the way. It's the Curve 9300 3g - qwerty keyboard + sensitive middle button.

My battery is 98% charged. Just charged it.

I have never had a blackberry so i tried to connect to the official website, update the software that makes the connection between my phone and website then i got stuck at that step where i have to connect the phone by my PIN.

I have searched through all my settings, there is no Radio option.

I have also tried that 30 sec battery-taken out trick. Still nothing, it just reseted then something loaded and nothing.

The option may not say "radio". Itmay use different words to describe the antenna, signal or function. If you still can't find it try to restart the install process. If that doeant work I am at a loss of what is going on. Maybe an eror with the Phone and you will need a new one.

Try this.
Make sure you have a good charge.

Navigate to your Curve's home screen by pressing the red "Power" key or the "Back" button.
Select the "Manage Connections" application.
Turn on the radio by highlighting "Mobile Network," then clicking the trackball.

Do you have a data plan for your phone? Just a thought.

Far as I know you have trhee setting in the connections.

Radio/wifi and blue tooth.

Wifi can connect if you have that set up. Of course blue tooth isn't for what your asking.

Sorry man I tried. I don't have the blackberry you have I have the torch 9800. I did look up your model on the BB website and read over it and what not. The response I already posted was the closest thing to a solution I could find.
