So I bought a couple of songs and albums on iTunes before my computer crashed under the same account.
Is there a way for me to re-download those music without having to buy them again?

That's sadly not possible. The license agreement contains a passage, saying that it's the users own responsibility to make backups.

thank god for illegal downloading then. As much as I love the artist I feel like I've already paid for it and obtaining a copy illegally shouldn't be an issue.
