Trying to turn on my wife's laptop and all I see is the load-up Dell Symbol and then screen goes black. Laptop stays on but screen stays black. Hit just about every key, before start-up and after.


Anyone got any idea whats the prob?

I had a similar problem with my old Dell XPS laptop...

The service rep had me unplug the pwer cable, take the battery out & hold the power button for 30-60 seconds

After that plug in the power cable (leaving the battery out) & attempt to boot it up... Should work now

Then just shut down & put the battery backin

I just actually heard the little noise it makes when you sign into your user name. Screen still black thou
