I was playing a game and accidentally hit it.
Damn it.
Firstly, what exactly do I press to get out of sleep mode?
Secondly, is there a way to lock that button?

normally when you have a sleep button their is a "wake up" botton aswell.
else, remove that button from your keyboard!

Control Panel > Power Options > System Settings

This works for vista. Not sure about others.

I think I'll need additional instructions D:
I have windows 7. I got to the power options menu but then I'm clueless about what to do.

in vista, when you go to power options, on the left side it says "choose what the power buttons do".

from there you can tell it to do nothing when you press the sleep button, and when you press the power button what you want it to do.

i'd imagine it's pretty similar for windows 7.
