The difference is speed and performance. In order to upgrade you need to first figure out what type of RAM is compatible with your system, unless you plan on building a new computer all-together.

DDR4 and DDR5 would most likely be referring to your graphics card (GDDR4/5) since commercially available RAM only goes up to DDR3.
