So, my internet is running perfectly fine

I normally have ~ 250ping on vent (Good for an Australian on vent)

The last 2 days, I have been randomly spiking to ~11000 ping when people talk, it eventually catches up but it is nigh impossible to understand anyone (They all blur into one distorted voice)

Any advice and help as to fixing this issue would be GREATLY appreciated

Is your internet performing normally or is it having lag spikes as well?

Hey Ben , i had the same problem for several month's before , eventually i found out that my wireless connection would temporarily drop for half a second but it left me with a huge latency , i found that reseting my router helped the connection majorly , i also left my router of for around 2day's , that also helped , now my problem has gone!

You checked your internet connection already? (speedtest.net or something like that?)
Do you use wlan?
Is it just at ventrilo?

Is this problem appears on different programs too?
Like Teamspeak 3 or Skype
-If not, maybe you can try out TS3. Really stable and reliable.

It's purely Ventrilo, also the people I talk to use Ventrilo so I need this to work

Wlan is Wireless Local Area Network ( Wi-Fi ).

Maybe someone is pinging Your vent.
Have you checked other ventrilo servers?
Is it only on Your vent? Or Maybe is it just You?

Is your ping spikin only on vt?
Another programs (like broswer) don't lag?

No one else is having problems as far as I know

Since teamspeak 3 is working just check your codec in your ventrilo.
Teamspeak got a lower quality as vent.
Just put your codec a bit lower and it should work imo.
Lmk if still got a problem with your ping.
Maybe you changed something on your computer right now?
