ok its a gas engine and on the last cycle after it shoots water into the hot cylinder to make steam for an extra power stroke what is that called?

its not water injection

no it just injects water to make steam

Hmm... Like a steam engine?... I haven't heard of water being shot into a Gas engine, as it would cause combustion issue's & detonation/improper fuel burn.... Similar to a head gasket

Hmmm... After some reasearch the best I could come up withe is the Prototype "crower six-stroke"

It seams water injection has been used in Jet turbine engines, to cool the inlet charge

However I for see an issue with hyrolicking a gas internal combustion engine it jet setting & timming isn't perfect
