If you're looking for an OpenGL pixel shader, the latest version is 4.1.

This card:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125359

Being one of the cheapest you can find supports up to OpenGL3.1 and DirectX 10.1.

If you're looking to purchase a video card, make sure your motherboard has the appropriate slots for it.

That card I linked is a PCI Express 2.0.

The other types could be AGP or just plain PCI.

No, I cannot. You need to figure out what you want/have before you can buy things. I do not know what you have. I provided you with all the information to figure it out, you need to utilize it. Good luck.

PCI-E

should be good for any card that's modern

The Radeon 9200 is mostly AGP, rarely PCI but not PCI-E.
If MJohnson wants to be sure about this, he should download Everest Home Edition and check the exact graphic card.

When buying a new card, it should always be PCI-E.
