How exactly does that all work and what are the benefits?

I have 100$, I want stars and want to know what the difference between getting FG over there, and just directly buying FG from njag.

It's possible to get a little extra fg by sending $ for people. I remember seeing something in a mediators sig saying "holding 1100fg for xxxx for $25 donation". etc.

I'll never understand how that crap works.

Getting the fg in the donor forum vs. $100, you'll get more fg but no stars.
Directly from the site stars + some fg.

You get stars in the DF by offering fg vs. star upgrades, not $$.
