my xbox used to connect to my router without any problems ( wired connection), then recently it will not connect for some odd reason. its not the ethernet cable, because i tried multiple, not the port on the router either. if i direct connect my xbox to my modem it will go online with no problems. what iz happening to my xbox

If it connects to the modem fine; then it's most likely your router.
Try reseting your modem, router, and xbox.

did that multiple times, still not letting me connect.

If you haven't wired up your xbox to the internet for a while, it might be so that you need to update your system.

iive been playing last week. these problems just started to happen 3 days ago. i wa splaying online perfectly before that.

System settings> networking> select the hardwire icon sometimes it wont switch automaticallly like it is suppose to

went through the full tech-support n talked to a xbox person on the phone. still does not work.

i think my router might be blocking the mac address to connect to the router. but i do not see any blocked mac addresses on my linksys router. ive restored factory defaults on the router and it still does not let connect to the internet on my xbox.
