Hello, so my problem is I download Diablo 2 classic from battle.net site using no discs but using the 26 digit cd key. After I download this, everything is looking good. I go to click battle.net to play online and it goes from querying gateway to checking versions to me having to download a patch, then it says that I can't download the patch because my file is corrupt or something.

then when I click to go to battle net again it gives me this:

So I downloaded the LOD Diablo 2 and that works and downloads, and same problem. When I go to battle net it takes me to same thing. So I'm wondering why this won't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled twice now so I don't think that is an issue.

Also, where it tells me to go: www.battle.net/support/errormessages/ ; that site doesn't exist anymore so that can't help me at all.

Have you tried downloading and installing the patch manually?

Like I said I reinstalled like 2 times, the time i took s/s was before i installed LOD, but it won't make a difference.

How would I do it manually? And the mpq file that it says is corrupt is what I'm thinking is the problem

Try run the game as admin and then try to update the game to the correct version.
Let me know if it worked.

You'd have to find it on Blizzard's website. Also make sure to launch the game as an admin - sounds odd, but it solves alot of issues.
