Helping a friend out with a cs1.6 issue.

Just as a team is chosen the game freezes up. Sometimes it freezes up on the MOTD screen but he can't for the love of God get to play on this server. Other servers works just fine.

He is running windows 7.

Any input as to what might be causing this?

Link #1 seems to be for how to make movies in cs 1.6? What it has to do with this problem I could not figure out.

Link #2 seems to be to the cs forum which I have never received any helpful input from. It also seems very dead so I'm posting here which I find more appropriate.
