I got a samsung external hard drive (2tb) I shut down my computer last night with it working started up my computer this morning and it simply didn't want to connect. It blinks for few seconds and dies.

Tried restart and change usb port.

are you using the usb ports that are directly connected to the motherboard?

Normally using usb hub (2 ports) but also tried connected it straight to the motherboard
