Ok so I have a Gateway One computer that runs windows 7 64 bit.

My current resolution is : 1920 x 1080

And everytime I try to change it, I get a black then blue then grey then white then Offline TV style screens.

This refrain me from playing games like Warcraft 3 or Counter strike source.

Or I can't change my resolution in games.

Do the following:

Start --> Devices and Printers --> "Your Computer" --> Hardware (tab) --> Scroll down to your graphic card --> Properties --> Driver (tab) --> Click Roll Back Driver

You might need to update your graphic card driver manually afterwards, but that's not always necessary.

Your graphic card drivers are updated, now?

When trying to change the resolution, do you have to restart your computer because of the "no signal screen" or does your monitor automatically switch back?

Getting on with the information you gave me via PM:

To find out what graphic card you have, go to:

Control Panel --> Device Manager --> Display Adapters --> Post this!

Now double click on Intel(R) G45/G43 Express Chipset, go to the Driver tab and post your Driver Version.

Some driver versions for your chipset are not working properly.

All right.
Every driver since 8.15.10.2202 seems to cause that issue. Resetting the driver would actually fix the problem, but Windows will update it again. Therefore I can do no more than suggesting you to contact the Intel Support about this issue:

I tried to go back to 2202 but it still did it and I also can't change the color from 32 bits to 16 bits
