Hey guys im pretty well a veteran player as i started playing d2 just after it was released for numerous years (after quitting and coming back numerous times). Also just recently moved and have everything but my LOD disk.
Also im running on a iMac and have tried to download the standard D2 (without expansion) and have come across issues as with windows its easy to install everything, would just ask for some assistance in how to download and also maybe how i can play LOD. (have my CD keys except i think i already used the LOD download from the blizzard site)

What exactly are the issues when installing Diablo on your Mac? Some detailed information would be useful.

Not really smart with Mac because only just recently purchased but with windows when you put in the disk, it automatically comes up with a screen asking to install D2, where with mac nothing does that, the only thing the comes up is the CD and when u click shows random files. I dont know what to do :/

There should be a file (application) named Setup.exe. That file starts the installation procedure.

ohk well which disk? (downloading original non expansion pack first) just looked through both and couldnt find?

I think we talk at cross-purposes.

Could you make a screenshot of that folder including the files you mentioned and post it here?

Running the Diablo II Installer should work. (Edit: At least it does in Windows; I don't know what that icon means - I am no Mac user)

Tried to reinstall Diablo 2 with downloaded LoD?
And also check that your mac is able to run Diablo 2.
I think you can download Diablo 2 for Mac aswell. Are you sure you've downloaded it for mac?
