I recently got a new laptop but diablo 2 will not run on it.
I have windows 7 and updated my drivers and dl the new patch
and did everything on the blizzard website told me to do
but it still doesn't work
when i tried to start d2, black screen appears and little white line at the top left corner flashes and this error appears:
"Unhandled Exception: (c0000005)"

Only way it works is by running in window mode ( which is annoying )

yea those were on blizzard website and i tried them but it still doesnt work

Please make a screenshot of the window I marked orange:

Go to: Control Panel -> System -> Remote Settings (on the left) -> Advanced Tab -> click the Settings button @ Performance box -> Advanced Tab -> Change button -> Now make a screenshot of the window which just popped up

yes
it works with window mode though

try changing compatibility mode to windows xp sp3
