So I had to uninstall + reinstall d2

I searched d2 and I clicked on the uninstaller, uninstalled it, then deleted every other file related to it.

I tried to reinstall, and this keeps coming up

Your CD is probably scratched or contains defect data. Just download Diablo 2 using this Guide. Installing the online version should work fluently.
