I have a laptop and before I had windows XP and never had this problem.

My laptop randomly freeze. Usually I can't move my mouse at all but sometimes I can.


Now I have windows 7 and this always happen.

Have you checked if you laptop isn't overheating in any way? Were you overclocking it recently?

Maybe because your computer statistics aren't good enough?

Have you already installed all the Windows 7 updates?

Your post sounds like you just installed Windows 7, so actually if you already updated the OS I'd say it's bad memory. Freezes often occur when the memory is damaged. Nevertheless check all the updates & drivers first. After that you should take a look at the CPU temperature(s) - this can be done with Everest.

Edit: Do you use the 64 bit or 32 bit version of Windows 7?

I just thought about that again: The computer temperature can't be the problem. A high CPU temp would shut down or restart the computer. So let's just forget that point.

Back to my first questions: Have you updated all drivers? (this includes Windows updates and graphic card drivers)

All the Important updates for windows 7 were done and I just installed 3 ''less important'' updates.

And I believe my graphic card drivers are up to date.
