have a 20% shuta which i could either socket with a 5/5 facet lite orr just buy a 40 hoto. wont be using maras so not getting much ammy res. what you guys think?

If you are going against another caster I'd use hoto for the resistance but if you are going against a barbarian or paladin who get a lot of resistance from skills, use a shuta with 5/5 facet

Imo use eschuta with a gg jewel.Sorc can get res ez without maras

sorcs should focus on dmg rather than any defense unless u r an ES sorc otherwise u will end up being weak on dmg and defense.
even with some resis, sorcs have quite low life to stand any attacks anyway.
