I recently bought a new pc to stay up to date. Installed my usual browser and took the user.data from the old pc to it. Problem is the browser is not running smooth on my new pc and i had to change to firefox 4. Runs alright but it does not have my saved passwords ofc.

Is there a way to xfer saved pws from opera to firefox? I am comepletely lost without them since i dont recall a single one.

yes, try search for the word cookie in system folders and transfer the cookies.txt

yes

That needs some clarification as it is not entirely true.
It depends whether or not the individual website stores its information in cookies to automatically log you on each time or whether your browser does it as a convenience to you.

Doesn't mean it will work. (It most likely will not)

If you use Firefox, you can download Firefox Sync add-on, it will store your bookmarks and saved passwords on a server, so if you install that add-on somewhere else and log into it with your account, it will transfer all bookmarks and passwords from the server to your browser.
If you use something different, I recommend Xmarks, which is pretty much the same.
I've been using both for long time, they are 100% safe.

Also, cookies do not store your passwords. :)
