you click on their profile, and right below their name it has :

DaPower
User is Online [User is Online]

* Send a Message
* View Photo Gallery (0 photos)
* Add to Friend List
* Search All Posts

Search all posts only does the 500 most recent (or earliest) posts
It won't help if you or they posted >500 times in the forum after that thread.

Search again.
Ctrl + F and using keywords can help, but there is no real search function for that.
