This error happens just once or you got it more times? If you got the error often try to delete the bnet cach. (Be sure that all Diablo 2 windows are closed) Reopen your Game and should work.

If you keep getting that error message, try the following:
  • Go to your Diablo 2 directory and run D2VidTst
  • Run Diablo 2 with DirectDraw instead of Direct 3D

Foggy minded on how to Delete Bnet cache or maybe I already did and that didn't work.

I wasn't even allowed to choose a video mode :[

You go to your d2 directory and look for the bnet cache file and delete it :)

That seems odd to me, you should reinstall Diablo 2 and afterwards post here if it works again.

And I doubt the bncache.dat file is the reason for the error. That file usually causes connection errors only.

Will do, a little lazy, stoner mentality. Haha :P I'll update you guys, keep throwing me ideas if any of you have it. I doubt that's the issue, though, reinstallation; I've tried loading my Diablo 2 from 3 different directory folders and all the same problem, it has to do with a video problem in my computer or how it's reading it. o.o

Critical error 25 is usually associated with a Direct X issue

There's a guide in Discussion & guides forum

Discussion & guides --> unified sticky --> critical error 25

Go 2 ur D2 folder & find "vidtest" run it & @ the ebd select DirectDraw

Should fix it :)

Sorry I can't link the guide from my phone

Did you at least manage to run the D2VidTst, as I said already?
