...Ð2jsp forums there are a ton of ideas but only limited ways to set this pobably that .05 fg was not worth the spam true but when see somethin good has transpired = now that fg has become valued from others hard work the ones who are desperate with ill manner seem to abuse it and wreck it for everyone, it appears to be society's default when faced with a challenge to be lazy in life and do whatever thay can for a buck the e-z way if thay can't succeed at what thay try and accomplish through hard work.
Why did fg get so valueable? From what i've seen the past 6 months, fg has gained value from people with mass hr's (dupers possibly) trying to compete with each other to sell the cheapest hr's. I dont' know if i'd call duped Hr's hard work.
I finally got my first warning for spam by wishing good luck to everyone when the patch came out, which I thought was lame. it was all the spirit of knowing that blizz hasn't forgotten about us and in the hope of better things on D2. I read through the rules right away and have only broken them that one time. People don't read the rules and that's the problem.
Here's my solution. Have an application quiz to become a member. Make them read and be able to answer questions about fg, spam, what can and cannot be traded, etc... Make them learn before giving them the ability to post.
A lot of the spam is new members asking what fg is or trying to trade illegal items. Once told that they can't trade the items, then they start to flame.
Also, posts like ".1 fg so this isn't spam" or "Great find, sorry for spam" should result in fg reductions. Maybe add a "spam" button to each post like the "quote button" for mods. If a mod clicks on that button it deducts .1 fg or something and sends a message to the user saying what post caused the deduction.
Taking away the .05 fg per post is not going to solve the spam problem.
