Right click properties and go to task bar and check the auto hide on and off. Apply that then turn it off again.

No luck

I would guess that you have a problem with the Snap feature with Windows Aero.

You can Google how to disable it, but I'll write out a basic explanation.

Open Control Panel > Ease of Access Center > Make the Mouse Easier to Use > Enable Prevent Windows from being automatically arranged....

Now hopefully if you move the task bar like you already previous have, you can resize the window to where you want it and then move the taskbar back to the top edge.

Based on your screenshots, it looks like itunes doesn't recognize that the top portion should link to the Taskbar when its on the upper edge.

I reformatted and haven't installed itunes, so I can't even test any of this, but you might also try running itunes in Compatibility Mode.

Right click the itunes shortcut > Compatibility tab > Check Disable Desktop..., Disable Visual..., Disable Display...  (Make sure all 3 are checked)

Then, of course, re-open the program and whatnot.

Neither worked and I rebooted computer between each try.

Move the start bar down to the bottom of the screen(where its default position is) and than move it back.

Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete and start up task manager, Right click itunes and you can maximize/minimize/bring to front. that should help

Sure it minimized it but I can do that by moving the task bar the minimizing iTunes and moving it to wherever. I then put task bar on top. ALl good till I MAXimize iTunes again then it slides full screeen but the top under the Windows task bar. It also leaves a space open at bottom for where it thinks the task bar should be.

itunes (mine atleast) saves the last size you set it to, so just minimize it than stretch it to where u want it to be and it will always be like that when u boot it up

Auto-hide your taskbar. and put the taskbar at the bottom of the screen. The taskbar will popup when you mouse over the bottom

edit: you can also make the taskbar smaller. (not so thick)

Yea, I have my task bar as small vertically as possible. And I have the same setting you have shown above (except I prefer normal size icons!).

Still no avail. I could wait 6 weeks till they come out with the next update of iTunes. I don't really want to roll back to the previous version since I've added maybe 500 songs since then. I go to the library 3x a week and listen to CDs. I'd hate to lose some of my music by rolling back to old iTunes.

Anyone have more suggestions?

Why don't you put the start bar on the bottom for 2 minutes, reshape... then move it back to the top.

Copy all of your music into a new folder, uninstall iTunes and install the latest version that worked for you, and make iTunes search for the music again, or add all the folders to the iTunes folder again.
