Its strange to me to have a donation option and a fg purchase option. Arent both the same? I mean essentially njaguar gets free money in both scenarios which support the site. Or does he use donations to maintain the site and fg as personal income?

Or is donating some kind of sign of loyalty to the site or something?

You can for example only obtain Donor Forum access by donating, not purchasing Forum Gold.
