People can Pm one another and ask them if they payed for the namechange would they get one so that person can take the name they had before.

officially no names will ever be deleted, but its quite obvious...I mean names like Kevin & sabine ect, are sure to be taken on a forum as big as this...but unless you are a high mod, this wont be happening for you

the users who had those names were emailed and asked if a change was ok.
same thing everyone can do, pm the user with the name you want and ask if they will change it if you pay for it.
problem is you wont get an email address and users who are offline for years are unlikely to come online anytime soon ( little bonus there for mods that they were given the email or paul emailed them- dno which)

Why can't I e-mail people to see if they will give me their names? Because that's confidential information so only those high users can have this privilege?

if you can contact the account owner yourself and they agree to get a name change so you can take theirs , it's all good.

otherwise it won't happen .
