and to con your statement about free antivirusses being better: my friend had a free antivirus that detected one of the key programs that runs his pc as a virus and totally messed it up.. even more than a virus could actually mess up his pc
me either, and I can tell I do a lot illegal stuff with my computer & get around 100 viruses every year.
norton is everything but good - it costs, it's slow, scan is slow, cannot perform anything to locked files which are running, cannot detect private troijans. most of free antiviruses don't detect private troijans but at least they aren't slow ones
and to that your last comment - we all know mcafee messed up millions of computers with it's false positivie update (detecting svchost.exe as troijan). it was exception which hasn't ever happened before. if 1 free antivirus provider messes up once, are all crap then?
