I tried 3 fonts from microsofts standard list from microsoft.com, none worked. :(

Are you still on your phone? You'll need to have the fonts installed on your device in order for them show up.

What does my text look like now? Normal? I have it set for lucida handwriting.

Those all look fine to me. Note that the last two might not be visible to you if you're using a standard windows computer. Those are downloaded ones. They appear for me, but they might not for you.
Like I had said earlier, if you're still on your phone atm, I'm pretty sure you won't be able to see / use these.
