How frequently are you getting this error? Does it happen only at Chaos Sanctuary or at any other location?
Try scanning your PC for any infections perhaps (if this is a ping related issue [high ping jumps])
Try running the game directly from your D2 exe in the diablo 2 folder (not from any shortcuts etc.)
It could also be your firewall

close d2, and delete the bncache.dat files from your diablo 2 folder

my new computer was bought on april and d2 was working perfectly, now it drops me from game to channel

deleting bncahce.dat does not working !!!!

cpu was scanned yesterday and fire wall was before and now is NOD32 it does not block or however make it me dropping from game...

atm reinstalling...

you tried run d2 in ''system operator'' ?

that isint the problem this i know for sure

after you uninstall d2, go into your program files and delete the entire d2 folder, not all the files are erased with a simple uninstall.

are you using any kind of mod? even something as simple as a UI mod making different colors or names on items?

does it drop anywhere outside of town and never in town? or only drops at certain locations?

That could be the case; If you have regular internet connection issues when web browsing, then your issue lies within your machine's internet card. Can you list some of your system specifications including your wireless internet card if you are using one please? Also, if you and your brother are using the same internet at the same time, one computer can suffer lag or heavy delay.
