you shouldn't have anything to worry about.  The mods can see that your ip would belong to a college and can see your unique identifier to that ip.  So even if someone scammed from that ip that would know it wasn't you or that you were multi.  as for your friend back in 07, that shouldn't matter either, you haven't been on the same ip for years and even if he did scam you most likely wouldn't get locked since you haven't been on his ip for so long.  I see no problem at all as long as you don't get yourself locked you'll be just fine.

I agree, if you have enough proof to prove who you are and who they are and that you attend that college, etc. You should be fine.

Thanks a lot both :)
just seen some people getting locked saying something like the situations i told you guys about, but guilty people would properly say everything to get unlocked.

I was just a bit nervous, it would be horrible to be locked with such a big amount, and even by selling and almost new smart phone on this site.
i will keep using this great trading system and community D2jsp offers!.
see you around guys.

Last time I checked it was fine to use d2jsp in public places like schools/airports/etc. If they locked everyone ever connection to d2jsp just because some rando scammed maybe years before you joined everyone would be locked.

I'm sure its fine!

Yes unfortunately, if you are sharing IP and someone commits something to get him locked or so, eventually ALL those related to that IP gets locked.

In my opinion avoid that if you don't want to loose 70k

Wrong.
Forum rules say NOTHING about ips and connection sharing..
Even now Im using public network, have nwver had any problems with that.

If you only share an ip with a person who scammed, you are ok.
BUT if you are anyhow connected with such person (like goldlogs etc.) You will be in trouble.

I have used d2jsp on 4 different college campuses for years (one I work at now and 3 I attended)

To clear things up, if 2 accounts were created on the same IP and one of the users scams then they both most likely get the scammer tag.

Public IPs have nothing to do with it, if I create my account on my home IP and go to use a public network and someone else using that public network scams I will not get locked (of couse if I had nothing to do with it)

Just use common sense. The mods are people too. They do have account info and IPs I am sure, but understand that they know a large percentage of users are in school, college, friends IRL, etc. They won't just go around banning accounts that were accessed on the same network.

Both correct, but remember.. mods always need solid proof before they lock someone. ;-)
Even if there were 2 accounts on the same ip and one of them scammed, this does not mean the other gets locked too.
