Open up your properties on your d2 icon, And then make sure you're running d2 in 600x480 Resoultion.

On some versions of windows you may have to run in compatibility mode Service pack 2 or 3.

try to right click on desktop --> Graphics Options --> Panel Fit --> Scale Full Screen
