Hey Barteq,

have you tried upgrading to the newest version of firefox?
this may solve your problem.

no I didn't and I don't want to, since my google toolbar and other stuff won't be compatible and everything may change :P

but that's not the issue, that info isn't only from my browser, it's a pc/laptop issue :) (system issue) and i wonder if there is any process (alt+ctrl+del) which i could terminate and refresh my screen

the only one you can do that with barteq is explorer.exe but i do not reccomend that since it can mess some things up but that will refresh your screen as you say

I've had to do that many times, it should be fine. Sometimes you have to CTRL ALT DEL again and go File -> New Task (Run) and type explorer.exe to get it back up again if it doesn't start automatically.

I've done that before. That's the only process I know I can terminate and run again, but it didn't refresh my screen :(
It only closes the whole start bar and icons, wallpaper stays and that info too.

which is what it would do so your saying the beige info doesn't dissapear.

That means you most likely would have to close FF completly then reopen it.. If firefox isn't the only program doing this then it may be a anti-virus / anti-malware program

When you close and restart FF does it go away?

I believe so. It comes from any kind of windows, so as I said before, FF is not the issue. Think I'll do some more tests next time. I'm not sure, but last time I managed to fix it somehow, but I don't remember how I did it.
However sometimes I wish it could be fixed w/o closing anything. I might have some unfinished work and I don't want to close my browser.
I mentioned in my first post here, that I can shut down the system and cancel shutting down in the last moment (after all programs are closed) and then it's also fixed.

Thanks guys :)

Simply use a different browser or right click on your desktop to bring up another menu and view your web browser again. A possible issue might be your extremely fast mouse cursor motion and clicking of things if you are doing that. Good luck man.

If you had read all posts you'd know that it's not that.

And yeah, that's the cause I believe.

Thanks anyway.
