fresh install of w7 runs at 56 processes, so no.

That is why I hate vista / 7 they run shit that doesn't need to be ran. Not to mention the anti virus is probably doing something wacky.



That is what my buddy is running notice his CPU % and that is not a fresh install, he says its most likely the anti virus, hes still validating so he'll try to post when he can. Hes 100x more knowledgeable then me he manages higher problems with computers.

Yeah we would need to see your currently running processes to see what is using all the CPU, could be because of the AV, or a bad driver. many things can cause it,

also what are your PC specs?

If you have more than one virus/spyware scanner running, this can really slow it down alot!

Your old data files are probably still in your machine. Check how many profiles you have in your machine and if you have more than one then delete the others. If not, then re install your machine again and make sure you clean your machine entirely.
