run d2 as admin it will fix your problem it will take about 15 seconds to start either left top or right top of screen a black thing with random letters or numbers will appear it means d2 is loading

it still takes like 5-10 minutes to open

Running Diablo 2 in compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2 should fix it.

already did that :/
if it helps im running windows 7 64bit.
i just uninstalled now reinstalling

The last thing I can suggest you, is to disable visual themes and desktop composition. (Properities --> Compatibility (tab))
