Reputation is everything here on d2jsp and you have to uphold it, if you scam one person and get away with it, as in not get locked, people will probably tail you and post "scammer beware" or put in their profile "this user is a scammer" so don't pull anything stupid. Not encouraging you to scam, just showing you how much reputation matters, one slip up can knock you down forever.

Make yourself known by successfully completing big trades, once you can of course. Be nice to everyone and they will be nice back to you, report anyone who spams in your topic by use of the report button, most importantly ignore people who spam against you, as it makes you look just as guilty.

Remember that replying to spam is spam itself and makes you look just as guilty ;)

Well your thread won't get closed but sometimes if it's bad they can get a suspension. Especially since he called you an idiot for just selling your items, counts as flaming and he could get a temp suspension.
