You can still get charged back if they send via a gift and they use funds directly from a credit card.

Paypal is not safe

Also, paypal will freeze your account if you accumulate more than 300-500 dollars, they will keep it frozen until they are satisfied with the amount of interest they have gathered off your money and then put you through an arduous task trying to get it unfrozen.

Paypal is not a bank, and therefore does not have to follow any banking laws, by using paypal you are agreeing that they own every single penny in your account and they can take it or lock it at any time.

That sounds really unsafe =\

I think I'll just do that money gram one and if they say no I'll look into western union

Western Union is the most popular out of those 2. But a lot of people won't do it unless what they are buying/selling is $20+ because of the fees.
You are pretty much forced to use shitty ass paypal for most things. :| just remember to empty your paypal account very frequently and dont tie an important credit card/bank account to it.

Yes I believe it does, paypal has the least fees while being the most sketchy while western union and money gram have big fees while being extremely safe

only use paypal to buy , never to sell.

I only allow companies that buy my stuff to paypal me , that i trust.
I never let a regular "person" paypal me money , i just wont sell if they ask to pay with paypal.

PayPal is safe to use to receive money. They can charge back but it isn't easy for them, it's a whole process (opening a dispute etc..). Of course there are other ways to do it, but in the 8 years (or so) I have been using PayPal, I have never had a problem.

You should probably be careful with statements like that with your tag because people might believe you. Your personal experience should not be used as a blanket statement, especially when what you posted is not accurate.

What else to base my opinions off of but personal experience?

Allow me to reiterate: PayPal is safe to use to receive money.
