you have installed d2 from downloaded file from blizz
and you're trying to use d2 lod cd to upgrade to lod?

if this is the problem, try obtaining d2 lod file download from blizz and install from scratch
i can imagine the current combination won't work well together

:edit: hm.. that's after the re-install as you posted later...
originally you installed alrdy the lod from blizz dl file...
i'd suggest to use this one again with clean install
this includes purging game folder after uninstall

i installed d2 when i got both disks same time brand new, once i installed d2 everything was fine THEN i tried to install my new lod cd and it said
"please install d2 non expansion before you install expansion, if you have already done so go on technical support"
technical support didnt help at all!
so then i went to b.net and installed their d2lod with no disc in that is why im confused
why would my d2lod not install in the first place from brand new disc??

when you want to upgrade to lod,
you put in the d2-lod cd, start install,
the install will ask you to put in d2-non-lod cd,
so the d2-lod-install can copy missing essential files (sounds/music/ani) from that cd,
before continuing d2-lod-install

if still fails, uninstall all, and reinstall, make sure you select full-install
both install with same pc-user ofc

u must install it on your festplatte

wat im saying is when d2 non lod is installed and i put lod disc in it wont let me install it says, i must install d2 non lod but iv alrdy installed that so why isnt the computer recognising that i have already installed d2 non lod
and wats festplatte?
it dosent ask me to put non lod disc in it just says install non lod but iv already done that?????

when you installed d2 non lod, you selected Full ?

Have u tried completely removing diablo 2 from your computer because when u uninstall it will always keep the diablo 2 folder...u need to manually delete that..maybe you have a bad file there...try uninstalling, delete d2 folder, and reinstall.

i installed full version then put lod cd in and it didnt recognise that i had installed non lod?

*nobody got any ideas???
oh and another thing what does it mean when uv installed d2 non lod and it says register diablo 2?
