Last couple of days ive been gettin a really weird lag problem as soon as i join any d2 games...

my browser runs fine and the game runs smoothly logging on and in the channels but as soon as i join a game it goes SUPER laggy... like i get a frame by frame chop every 3 seconds or so...

kinda makes doing anything pretty difficult just wondering why its suddenly happening...

any ideas? i thought there was some fix for this by like deleting a certain cache file in your d2 folder and then booting the game again so it creates a new cache, but i cant remember if that was for lag problems...

One you thing you could try is re-installing, I'm not sure about deleteing the things though.

Yes deleting the cache sometimes helps with a lot of connection problems

Try doing it --> http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=9510963&f=21

Well you could try deleting your bnet cache found in the diablo II folder but likely isn't the issue.

You may have a poor connection.

Generally it's not the machine but whatever software you have running in the background, such as internet security, downloads, etc.

You might want to check your cables possibly, as that will cause problems too.

A couple things to try:
- Make sure that no major background programs are running
- Try playing in windowed mode.
- Try windowed mode and set desktop colors to 16 bit.
- Try switching video modes
