Hey everybody, I just downloaded minecraft with my new computer, which is a xps17 that can any games on ultra settings..The problem is that, even with this beastly laptop, I can't get to run minecraft without lag, any advices? I usually get around 12-20 fps, decreasing slowly when the game loads more and more blocs.
Me need help and advices! pls help muh!

Ps: I don't want to reduce the distance I can see. I am sure there is a way to reduce lag without having to decrease the range of visibility.

Minecraft is a Java based game. It will never provide everyone with best performance.
You will need to do some changes in the Minecraft video settings:
  • Switch from fancy to fast graphics
  • Reduce the range of view
  • Toggle fog using the f-key

Thank you but is there any other possibilities to improve gameplay? Some of my friends are using 256pixel texture packs, and I can't even get it to fancy ;(
