Hi guys,

i have a lvl 97 amazone witch is expired now,

ive made a topic where ive looked for that name, finaly ive found him, he deleate that char name , but i still cant login to her

i tought if i would buy that charname i could unlock her, but is she gone forever now??

plz help me

pretty sure its gone forever..i had a few of my chars expire and i couldnt get them back :/

As you already said:
Once somebody else creates a character with that name, you can't recover it anymore.

omg that's not good news ...

i tought people bought name's for that reason, to recover there old expired names. but its just for a new char then ..

damn lost so many items now

The process is tedious and isn't guaranteed. Which is why we do not mediate char names..etc. The person selling the names would have to either give you an account with the char name on it, or coordinate with you to delete it at exactly "xx" time so you can re-create it(which is risky because other people have the chance of creating the name before you).

I am not an expert. However I believe even though the char is expired it can still be played. for example expired ladder chars can be played on non ladder. this means you still have the name. just delete the expired char and make a new one with that name and you are all set

This can only work if no other one took your name.
Expired Char means, that your name is free for everyone.
If some one create a new char with your name, there is no way to get your expired char back.

even though you can still play this expire char on non ladder? because you can play the char, that means blizz still has the name registered and wont allow it to be copyed. am I mistaken?

Char names on ladder and nonladder are shared(meaning, if a char name is a taken on ladder, it will be on nonladder too(if in the same realm). The only thing that makes a difference is realm.

I think there is some miscommunication going on I will brake it down

char name that is expired ex_ample

I can play ex_ample on non ladder

Because blizz has this name registered on useast even though this char is expired noone can take this name.

so if I deleted ex_ample and creat ex_ample that same minute

this char is now not expired and I just have to remake him but I have the name still. right?
