can anyone tell me the awnser to this im stuck to the max

a penny is dropped into a well. it takes 4 seconds for the penny to hit the bottom. calculate the depth of the well in feet

a) 39.2
b ) 128
c) 256
d ) cannot be determined

been so long since ive taken physics..

but cant figure out how u are suposed to solve this with only one variable...

distance = velocity*time

velocity = mass*acceleration

so distance = m*a * time

distance = mass(unknown) * 9.8 (acceleration) * 4 seconds

cant figure it out unless u know the mass of a penny..
